The cycle hire centre can be found on the Station Car
Park behind Hayfield Parish Church so you can
'Park and Peddle'
The old railway line to New Mills has been converted into the
Sett Valley Trail. as one would expect it is a relatively flat
trail, unfortunately your rhythm is broken as it crosses two roads
on the journey down to New Mills (railway bridges were demolished)
some three miles distant However you have the bonus of magnificent
views of Lantern Pike and surrounding countryside.
