Hayfield's Industrial Heritage

Hayfield circa 1930, behind the Parish Church can be
seen the Wood Print Works . the open area to the left is the Railway
Station and goods sidings. On the far right the chimney stack
of Slacks Paper Mill can be seen, further down the Sett Valley,
the chimney stacks of Birch Vale Print Works peep over the ridge.
The area to the left foreground bounded by a white wall is the
Cricket Field the river Sett runs on the other side of this wall.
